desis do not spend a lot of money for nannys, hire someone from your community to watch kids for 1-2 hrs atleast, aa 2 hrs break anna untundi for you and your wife

take a walk with her or just chill during that time, totally worth the $ you spend

also outsource some of the tasks you have no time for

  • lawn (mowing/weeds)
  • house cleaning (biweekly or monthly deep clean) or robo vaccums
  • Groceries sometimes (Instacart etc)
  • For Pickup/Drop offs, work it out with other parents in your community, this way you may be spending just 1/3rd time if you can work with 2 other set of parents
  • curries/home made good if anyone is selling in your community - 1 or 2 days/week aina it will give some relieft although I would not recommend this we do not know what oil and ingredients they may use

I know these will add up and will be costly but whats the point of just earning and suffering bro?

spend some 10% for these and live life well!

Next 18 years life is frocked*.pillalu Putte mundu I didn’t realise life would be so hard. First 3 to 4 years jeevitam ante virakti vachedi ippudu alavatu aipoindi. By the time my kids are 18 and off to college, i will be in my 50s. Jeevitam mottam 10gindani ee madhye realization ki vachaa..

i hope at least by my kids generation they will be out of this pelli chesko, illu konu, pillalni kanu loop. This is just modern day slavery..

lol, we love our kids but I do feel your thoughts, your whole life here is just about being an IT coolie and then raising kids,  life antha ayipotundi

also agree that with out family support like in India life here is so so hard

Imagine dropping off kids at your parents for the weekend and then chilling, just for this vellochu India ki back

Anna, all desis i know do these

Lawn- almost all my friends outsource lawn to makkus, TX heat lo not worth it.

House Cleaning- all of us hire alternate week house cleaners. roborocks elagu andaro thnksgiving lo kontaru

Groceries- this I have seen some ppl do everything on own or use instacart or store curbside pickups.

Pickup/Dropoffs ki definitely if possible everyone sharing car rides.

Curries- Homemade curries also lot of desis use but not everyone. More than cost I have friends who dont like taste ani annaru.

Suffer avuta converting everything to Rs to buy lands/apts in india waste anna.
