Friend son says he converted to Christianity

Yesterday friend wanted to go to temple with family. Son refused and said he is christian now and does not want to go to Hindu temples. Son says he is reading bible since one year.  Friend tried to convince him that it is still okay to go to temples but son says bible says there is only god and they should not worship other gods. Friend is shocked and not sure what to do. Friend is not telling his wife yet as she is religious.

(It is the same friend I mentioned in other thread about his son choosing CS in college)

Thats perfectly logical if you understand why he converted. Christians shouldn't go to temples or believe in any other deity and shouldn't eat prasadms and shouldn't stop religious conversion. Everyone on this earth should be converted into Christianity.

Why do you think Jagan's wife doesn't go to temples? She participates only in non-religious seasonal local festivals like Pongal, Ugadi.

If we understand how and why a person is converted, the rest is logial. If a person is emotionally weak, its very easy to convert. Christianity is like HIV/Cancer, once a person is converted, its extremly difficult to convert him back to his original religion/atheism. The person requires a lot of emotional strengh to break out of that. Its mental slavery.

Converted or not, Abrahamic faiths don't accept other gods. Period. Once you chose that faith, their God is binding.

It probably started with parents trying to force their religion too hard or nonsensical things that they did that contradicts their faith.
