Now a days people move from different parts of India for job. If someone was working in Delhi and send their kids to CBSE school and then move to Hyderabad for job, how can kids cope with Telugu? unfair for kids ...no

Same with kids moving from andhra to Delhi and have to learn Hindi.

All local languages should be optional. People move around a lot these days. Southern kids should not be indoctrinated by Hindi. And northern Indian kids cannot handle Telugu either.

Yeah..tell the same thing to the govt..not to make the Telugu mandatory. There is possiblity of these people settling in Hyd and they dont want their kids to learn Telugu.

There is no 50% quota for locals. This is not state operated one. Only North Eastern designated tribes have some special incentives from Union govt. Reservations are as usual, SC, ST, OBC, EWS & PD

Why out of state people, the muslim population of Hyderabad especially from old city can't speak Telugu. Many muslim fruit and vegetable sellers who are born and bought up in Hyderabad can't speak Telugu. They hear Telugu throughout their life yet can't manage to speak

Almost 30% muslim population, oka 10-20% non telugu mother tongue like marwaris, sindhi, etc who have been here for generations..

Native telugu miguta 50% vuntaru…and the medium of communication is pretty much a mix of telugu/hindi/urdu and language was never a priority and set a precedence like it happens Down South..
