Yeah, you're right. I got more information on this. Even DSOs are surprised by all this and they are all saying this is unprecedented. Now, many DSOs are manually checking the SEVIS records daily. Apparently, they are automatically terminating SEVIS records even if a past speeding ticket was successfully dismissed in court - speeding tickets are misdemeanors in 17 states, and if the event happened in one of these 17 states, the risk is even higher.
