Right now, they can't revoke H1 without first sending a notice. But this may change pretty soon. Students are easy targets since they can directly terminate SEVIS without notice and the student will immediately fall out of status so that they will start accruing illegal stay right away and will most likely never be issued another visa. I don't know about simple speeding or traffic tickets, but I saw a post on reddit where they terminated SEVIS now for a DUI that happened way back in 2012. Apparently, this person was on a different F1 visa back then when this happened. Later, he returned on a new F1 visa (with a new SEVIS ID) to pursue his PhD. And now, they revoked his SEVIS when he just has a few more months left on the program. Quote

Not sure about H1Bs atm; it may happen in the future. They are starting with students as they are easy targets. But for F1s, they are already doing it. However, it is unclear whether these are solely from states where speeding is a misdemeanor or if they constitute more serious infractions, such as reckless driving. But what is clear is that it doesn't matter if the lawyer was able to change it to a less serious offense. They are still terminating SEVIS based on the original offense. Quote

If visa is cancelled then will he apply for B1 etc to continue stay in US and then fight on getting person back on H1B They are not cancelling visa..they are revoking sevis. So you need to reinstate with new sevis and new i 20 from a different univ and a lawyer who can submit reinstate request. To revoke sevis, you dont need to involve uscis. Hence they are doing this. For revoking h1b it costs lot of money and processing fee through uscis..so terminating h1b is not easy..so they are denying entry at poe with ridiculous reasons. They might flag during h1b extension on a petetion that is paid by your employer lawyer. Quote
