Russia has its own version Mir payment system

India has RuPay

China  has UnionPay ( they process by value more transactions than visa and master card combined since 2015 although more than 95 percent of them are in China )

Japan has JCB

Obviously not so difficult to implement a similar system in EU.

Trumps obsession with tariffs is destroying some of the best markets for American industry ( Canada , UK and Europe).

it doesn't make sense when he treats long time  allies ( Canada , EU etc) like enemies and long time adversaries like Russia as if it's an Ally.

India tho comparision yeemundhi le anna...adoka pedda chettha butta..

here the relationship between EU and USA is like that of fish & water for over 70 years ( from WW-2).

If you look at conversion rates between USD <-> GBP <-> EURO... they can be converted amongst themselves with nearly ZERO commission rates..all you need to have is a Visa/Master card from Uk to roam around entire EU & USA.

okka saari idhi try cheyyu:

INR <-> Dubai AED

or INR <-> USD or any advanced economy ... tears will come down for Indian users.

nope. see india govt pushed UPI payment system saying it is free and instant. but it has lot of costs that were taken toll on india govt. they spent almost 4000 Cr annually where they paid to banks instead banks charging customer for those transactions. it went for 6 years. now they can't bear it anymore. so they pushing all those charges to customer.

every upi swipe costs 6 Rs now minimum.

Visa issue also became big as India digital policy pushed all banks and merchants to UPI and Rupay card. so VISA complained to US govt now trump put reciprocal tariffs exactly because of iindia partiality.

india IT exports are valued at $200 billion dollars. because of that, Trump targetting india with tariffs to make india remove any restrictions.

For payment settlements, EU uses SWIFT and heavily reliant on this system.  And for wallets, there are many services in place already like Revolut.

Visa, Mastercard no avoid cheyamannadi EU peddamma, That doesn’t mean they don’t have an alternate system in place…
