Remittances are very important for India. 130 billion an year, mostly pumped in to real estate and local businesses by parents and other family is  huge..  In comparison America's exports to China every year are max 140 billion an year. To understand the impact ---

during Covid when US government was pumping money, the real estate prices in Hyderabad pretty much doubled as most of the Telugus invested that money in India..

Without NRI remittances and investment the real estate in most of the metros like Hyderabad, Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune would really slow down..
