India is the most secular country in the world

We are a unique nation in the world that has public holiday for even Easter Good Friday or muharram. I wasn’t even talking about Ramadan or Christmas.

Even though both these religions are foreign to us. We still acknowledge that. Despite less than 25% combined practice these religions in India.

Even USA doesn’t acknowledge Good Friday as a public holiday. No other Christian countries acknowledge Ramadan. None of the Muslim countries acknowledge Christmas.

I know it’s just a holiday. But it shows our respect. Also having a federal public holiday is an indication of the tolerance across the country.

Feel free to bash parties such as Congress or BJP. But India as a whole has always been very tolerant and accepting. As the great man Vajpayee said.
