Neither was this one. Yes the West first started it. But they are the first ones to ABOLISH it completely. By 1850s itself, most of European and American countries abolished legally. Society took some time but finally there are no signs of it in modern West. But what about India?? Its increasingly getting itself infected with caste & religion viruses. Can you ever imagine a SC/ST inter-caste marriage with Nara family or YS family? Even worse, even though Yesu Reddy family converted to Christianity, their casteistic roots still stay strong in Rayalaseema. No Reddy family in Seema or Comms family in Coastal Andhra even allow SC/STs into their homes. Quote
