Spartan Posted April 23 Author Report Posted April 23 India on Wednesday suspended the Indus Water Treaty and announced downgrading diplomatic ties with Pakistan including expulsion of its military attaches in view of cross-border links to the Pahalgam terror attack. The Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) met this evening under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and firmed up the responses to the terror attack. The CCS decided that the Indus Waters Treaty of 1960 will be held in abeyance with immediate effect, until Pakistan credibly and irrevocably abjures its support for cross-border terrorism, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said at a media briefing. 1 1 Quote

BJP did what they had to do during the strikes after Uri attack...as conditions were favourable then. but now the economic and global situation is different... war is not the answer.. finding the culprits and gunning them down will be the first major task to do..and restore security in the area.. appusri Posted April 23 Report Posted April 23 Instant ga janalu emotions cool cheyyadaniki theesukune steps avi. Long term steps - 1 - Indus treary should be completly scrapped - Build water infra to divert the rivers going to Pak to Rajastan. This was something spoke during Vajpayee govt. Modi govt should seriously think about this. If we the water infra, we can flood the Pak in an instance or keep them dry in summers. 2 - India used to have good assets during Indira's time to destabilise them internally and keep them busy among themselves. Subsequent govts neglected. Pak has never been so weak economically after its formation and the economical situation of both countries widened a lot. Its time for India to build local assets and to keep them busy internally. 2014-2025 long time to plan something strategically. We didn't utilize. Ippudaina melukovali. Quote
Android_Halwa Posted April 23 Report Posted April 23 Parliament mida attack ayinapudu, With in days almost two lakh army was mobilized and moved to the border… That was a clever way to exert pressure and i think its time we should attempt it again now…Move the military to the border, put the air force and navy on high alert… Quote

We have our defense doctrine not to cross our borders… Quote

It will hurt us more than them. The world is economically intertwined and India is at crucial stage economically, you don't want to disturb that and help other countries like China. It will have impact on markets and other things. Quote
