kevinUsa Posted April 30 Report Posted April 30 After the recent situation involving master's students my friends and I started looking into what's really going on.The core issue is that some meme pages and influencers have started promoting law firms. Since these firms want more cases, they're all focusing on master's students and spreading panic. As soon as any rule is released, they share it immediately and exaggerate it, creating fear among students. But most of these are minor issues any Student with basic knowledge can understand them. Unfortunately, these influencers target students who lack that knowledge. What's worse is that influencers & Law firms are creating job openings in India and they pay a small salary and then train those people on how to talk like lawyers about the minor legal issues happening in the USA. Since most of these law firms are Telugu owned and many students don't speak English well, when someone calls for an appointment, the firms speak in Telugu claiming it's for better understanding. Those who joined the teams in India then start charging students in the U.S. around $300 for a 30min consultation, acting like lawyers. Students believe them blindly, thinking it's all true. main reason for all this is the lack of basic legal knowledge Quote
