christianity has Catholicism Protestantism, orthodox etc.

Nenu cheppedi entI Nuvvu anedi Enti. Each person mentioned above has their own religion or caste. You can’t convert to Islam and call yourself Reddy

Even then that's your assumption. Bhatts are Brahmins. But, converted Brahmins in Islam still use Bhatt. So do Jatts, Khatris, Rajputs. Intiyaz Khatri  is Moslem Khatri, Mahesh Bhatt is converted too. I can go on. 

You can be X religion and still retain caste. They are NOT exclusive.
