Karan thapar is an arrogant and self centered journalist.. his line of questioning can piss off even the most sane person.. his journalistic standards are very low.. he outed his sources many times and also talked about private conversations in public and he is even hated by his fellow journalists..

I like his line of questioning, Elano indian leaders don't get charged by any agency for corruption/ allegations ,he is blunt enough to ask them

Journalists and so called grilling journalists, are out fashioned and insignificant. Most of these journalists are left oriented, born out of the ‘questioning syndrome’ and are always biased and anti-government. 

Karan Thapar is one of such over hyped. A typical lutyens journo. Close friends with richie rich and politcos, went to school with richies….elite circle and this is where he gets his ‘grilling’ energy.

In my view, Karan Thapar has a command over english and it appears to be grilling.

If Karan Thapar did  interview in Telugu with YSR or In Gujarati with Modi, then it would have been a level playing field. 
 

In one interview, Jayalalithaa blasted Thapar…straight on the face and that left Thapar speechless.

PM ayyaka evaryna secular avvalasinde , Don't keep much hopes on yogi

ruling a state , ruling a country and representing the country at global level are completely different things

It is not command, it is condescending.. looking down upon the leaders.. you can ask the same question in a decent tone like a Rajdeep sardesai or shekar Gupta.. you can grill them all you want but still be professional.. 

It is hard to like his interviews unless you hate the person he is interviewing..

even it is condescending, i like it, bcoz in real life ,these politicians are never accountable for anything they do ,... no fear due to indian legal system

compare this with modiji aap mangoes khaathe ...

and TV5 murthy had a chance to grill KTR on land scams he commiteed in 10 yrs , he choose to be polite and be naive praising kcr and co, sycophancy at display , no diff btw party spokesperson and journalists now a days

Oh…Like I said, if Thapar interviewed YSR or Modi in their mother tongue, result would have been different. I gave you example of Jayalalithha….She gained command and half way through the interview Thapar lost his steam. His questions melted down from hard hitting to softly spoken..
