Its not certain that they will lose. The host country wins most of the time. Also our airforce and other technology is not great compared to Pak. eventhough our dfence budget is more, it is usually for the salaries.

ex: Abhi nandan’s flight Mig21(im not sure) is from 1960s where as Pak has F-16s

India has around 260 Sukhoi Su-30MKI fighter jets where as Pak has around 85 f-16's

Looks like they cannot use f-16 now, last time it was crashed and kind of an embarrassment for Vomerica as countries may stop buying them 😂😂. So Vomerica gave a strong warning by not to use them without their approval.

legally according to purchase agreement.. Pak cannot use F16s against India..

kaani they broke that deal and have been using in past couple of doge-fights...

I don’t think Pakistan Air force is anyway superior than the Indian Air Force. Post 26/11, India invested heavily in AWCS, Radar and monitoring technology which puts ahead of us in the region. These things did not exist pre 26/11. Poseidon P8 maritime surveillance, AWACS, with our own satellites supporting the communications, ground stations etc. Imported a lot of Israeli surveillances equipment which the pakistani air force lacks.

Coming to F-16’s, Not all F-16’s are powerful. F-16’s have extensive ground support and that’s the difference between american operated f16’s and Pakistan operated F-16’s. They are tough birds but not an intelligent ones like their american counterparts. 
 

Now the question arises, F-16 shot down Ahbinandan’s fighter jet. Becmfore that, An ageing Mig-21 bison which Abhinandan was flying, shot down an F-16. That sets the precedence.

Also most recently, F-16’s were show down in Ukraine.
