You can get better planes from Swedish. Gripens are very good interceptors and you can get 3 birds for the price of one Rafale. 

Numbers alone will over come the any shortcomings. What more you make them in India as Swedes are willing to do that.

Way too expensive. All those capabilities are already there in Sukhois.  Single jet interceptors Gripen any day. They're also willing to  tech transfer and are ready to manufacture in India and to customize it to Indian armaments.

Also,  Gripens would have boosted indigenous manufacturing capabilities plus big numbers mean easier ground support and interception. Far better choice for replacement of MiG 21s.

Sukhoi next 5th gen fighter ki vellakunda mari malla Rafael meeda enduku paddaru mana vallu; ever sukhoi are air superior than F35s kada. 

gripens may be a better replacement to Tejas emo aithe which are already mired by delays; ISRO lekka mana aviation industry needs to develop.

Over reliance undakoodadhu ani. But honestly Rafale lo commissions kooda bane lagistharu. 

SAAB would have perhaps said no or didn't agree to that much commissions. I say Gripens are way innovative and they don't even need long runways or bases. They are designed to take off with full payload from an asphalt road.

Actual ga SAAB is way superior to Bofors (Apples to oranges ayin, just cheptha unna)

They are already with Thailand. SAAB major advantage they have Volvo engines. Ippudu Sweden kooda NATO lo join ayyindhi kani mundhe agreement chesukuni unte, India wouldn't need to listen to US or EU governments. Sanctions or blocking spares wouldn't happen at all 

Asalu within India manufacturing ante huge boost to the industry. Numerical superiority advantage entha tremendous ante, sheer numbers to Gripens can take F16s Pakistan's air superiority fighters. All this without Sukhois having to coming in. Because 1 Rafael price = 3 Gripens, if manufactured in India it's will be more cheaper.

yaa but still we opted for Rafael.. may be due to commissions  india lo manufacturing with tech tx anedi excellent deal but its not accepted
