Look up "Balfour declaration". Year on year, Israel kept gaining territory. Is it surviving? Or thriving then? Hamas has had received funding from Nethanyahu's regime for a long time since it's inception to do exactly what it's doing. "Sacrificial lambs" die but the regime expands it's territory. Most of the funding for Israel comes again through funds collected from American tax payer. They control the US political establishment (both sides). Which normal people are you referring to?
