Praise has to be given in public and shunting in private. Simple logic Your options are - Be patient. Take him out for lunch or schedule 1:1 and discuss the issues. Bring up things that you are not liking. Explain your side of things. Ask him what his expectations are. Listen to his feed back and do not get into argument mode. If things do not improve, utilize your 1:1 with your manager and escalate. In the process, be open to see if you are doing anything wrong. Acknowledge and improve. Quote
