'Abbai' and 'Babai' scares Small Producers!

It seems that Mega Power Star Ram Charan's upcoming flick 'Orange' is also following the likes of his babai Power Star Pawan Kalyan's flick 'Komaram Puli'. While the hit and flop speculations of Orange and the disastrous failure of ‘Puli’ are one side, these two flicks are playing a wild-goose-chase with many low budget producers on the other hand.

Apparently, when Pawan Kalyan's 'Puli' was releasing, the postponement of release dates irked many film producers. Generally, the small budgeted movies would be released in such a way that at least they will run in theatres until the release of a big flick. This way the producer can pull through some of the money he has invested. However, during Puli's time, many movies were in a dilemma, whether they should release or not, because no one knows when actually Puli arrives. That too, when a big flick arrives, all the small budgeted flicks were removed from theatres mercilessly to run hundreds of shows of that film, to recover the huge budget. Movies like Chapter 6, Gayam 2 and Happy Happy Ga falls under the affected category due to 'Puli'.

In the same way, the postponement of release dates of ‘Orange’ is also affecting some movies. Initially, Industry expected Orange to be released on 12th or 19th November, but the producers confirmed it for 26th November. Now, there is a buzz that it will be releasing on 3rd December. Firstly, flicks like 'Kathi' and 'Yemaindi Ee Vela' that are in theatres already, will be thrashed out if 'Orange' releases sooner. Secondly, big movies like Rakta Charitra 2 and Venkatesh's Nagavalli are unable to decide their release date. Lastly, flicks like Karma, Ala Modalaindi and creative director Ravi Babu’s 'Manasara' are really confused for a release and said to be losing huge money for publicity until the release of Ram Charan's flick. Industry critics are saying that postponement of release dates like this is not good for the film industry.
