Yes.

Rafale is a twin engine just like Su 30. SAAB's GRIPEN and it's E variant are Single engine. E has advanced avionics and more thrust. This fits India's need for immediate interceptor role to replace MiG 21s. 

Engine is where SAAB and India need to work on, for SAAB uses two engines 1. Volvo 2. GE. 

working around GE is what's needed for India.

Also, Tech transferring and maintaining this fleet would give Kaveri engine necessary boost for further development.

They are not giving anything free anymore. Ukraine is providing access to rare earth metals as a retribution. What do we have? Oil? Minerals? Nothing. We are a service sector-based economy. We can offer to work for free. That’s the only plausible offer we can provide at this point

USA never fights against N bigwigs. They only go after oil rich countries. Have you seen them fighting in a direct war with a nuclear power before? It’s not happening. They will rather want both of us to fight and destroy each other. So that they can enjoy hegemony for another 100 years. You need to educate more about US foreign policy. They don’t lift a finger if there is no vested interest for them.

USA will rather use Taiwan as a pawn. They will create a rift between a democracy and a communist country. That will yeild them more strategic advantages. India will not provide them the same utility as the Taiwan. USA will create a military base for themselves if needed.
