its highly depending on gate attendant. vadiki em anipisthe ade and we can't sit and argue with him while trying to find "rules" online or talking to customer care simultaneously 

Not worth the effort loosing mental peace . Take any flight through mid-east or Air India.

I don't understand. When you are returning to your home country, no country should ask for a valid visa!? Maha avute feeling ichukuntu warning istaremo. Anthe. Are the connecting flights in different airports?

some say yes, ok to travel. some say no, you need to have transit or valid US visa

Travelled many times thru AMS without stamped US visa. No issues.

I still do not get it. No one should be stopping you for a visa when you are on your way to home country. What are they going to do? Deport you to your home country?

consider this scenario
Mee home country lo some war / humanity crisis vachindil when you are mid-air or you have ill-health and flight has to return back to source airport for emergency.
meeku edaina aithe airlines ki legal issue ayye chance untadi kada , so meeku destination passport unna kooda , incase you have to return to soruce airport for some reason , you need to have valid source country visa too kada.

some europe countries have restrictions. they will check for valid US visa or transit visa before you board in US itself.

its all rules sometimes.

so peace of mind and travel time important kabatti its better to avoid these airlines
