There is cost to be paid for invading sovereignty of another country. 

also narrative of India losing jets probably helps india in the future. Conflicts in future will not be seen as dominant india fighting weak Pakistan and international community sanctions india.

First thing is India was not prepared to target Pakis it just targeted base camps in Pakis and occupied land, the fighter jets are configured in ground attack mode not air to air mode after pakis noticed Indian jets they shot down which we didn’t expect, then India escalated into full attack mode on Pakis. Moreover their is no guarantee on jet not going down it’s part of game. Prussia lost many assets in 3yrs . So point is we achieved what we intended.
