The problem then is you will not have enough motivated people to work. Every one wants to be lazy. Socialism in Indian context is not something like what NAZI Germany was. Germany was at its Pinnacle even with socialist party at power pre and during WWII. Be it industrialization, architecture, scientific advancements, economy you name it, that's the height of civilizational advancement. In India socialism is more communist lite version dressed down in the name of egalitarianism, yet retains all the trashy parts that has a proven ability to bankrupt a state and even a country. Quote

Which aspect are you referring to DBT schemes? What about market barriers? Protectionism is one thing, downright socialism is another thing. Nazi Germany was able to pull up itself because Hitler introduced Mefo Bills, unlike the current governments, who are just printing valueless currency from thin air, that includes RBI as it pegged rupee to $$ and are reckless borrowers. Late stage or perfect stage of socialism is communism which is a utopia that isn't practically possible. Even china is a socialist country not a communist country,they claim they are in a process of achieving communism ,but they know they can't achieve it cause it's practically not possible. everytime I think about it,the analogy that I remember is if you ever took calculus course you will have limits in which a variable which will tend toward infinity but never will reach it ,just like that you can keep improving on socialism to try to reach a perfect utopia called communism which will never come.
