Need Advice: Contracting and H1B Extension

Current H1B expiring in 3 months and needs renewal application ASAP. Client providing a contract with 1 year extension. Job searching in progress but most companies shying away due to "Need Visa Sponsorship - Yes" answer. Located in Houston Metro(local market has zero jobs). Is it a good idea to sell 1 year old house and move to a city where tech presence is big like Austin? Or wait until I get a job ? Any $0.02?
