There is more to it than we know. Previously Himaja's house meeda kuda same raids based on complaints of partying and booze. I think it's not the booze and party that neighbors are worried about, but more about other activities that may be going on. 

For police, it's a way to get their commission.

That is not a private party technically, they hired a venue to conduct a party which does not have permit to serve liquor.

Most people are ignorant of this fact and consider it as private party but private party is the one which is not hosted in a commercial establishment like home, etc. You don’t need any permission…

But if you hire a premises and plan to serve liquor, one need to pay challan at local PS and take temporary excise permit for a day to serve liquor…costs about 6k/day/venue.

I am not denying that. These are diversion tactics by any government. But these gajji people showing off as foreign alcohol to be a crime is laughable.

That's true. Alcohol is not the problem. When there is a party like this, there will be someone with Ganja. Very common.

If drugs are confiscated in big amount its a big thing.

There is a different view. Every weekend, raids happen and average  8-10 properties get’s seized for similar reasons around the city and only 1-2 cases get highlighted. That’s because of familiar names..

Police have info about every party that happens in these areas and when you do not have a permit, raids happen. And when raids happen, familiar names gets highlighted.

Mangli or Himaja, they are way too small people for the govt to divert the attention. Its just the news sensation that makes it feel like that…
