may be you have to downgrade your iOS and then jailbreak it...not sure on how to do it. sorry2

You can't downgrade iOS for iPhone .. they update firmware along with OS

Settings -> General -> Usage -> Battery Percentage On/OFF unte 3GS lekapothe 3G ( it was this way from OS 3.0.. recent ga emana change chesaremo no idea)
Camera application lo bottom right hand side you have  switch from Photos to Video recording for 3GS ... 3G iphone ki video recording option undadu so akada emi undadu 3G phone lo aithe
Also Compass application unte 3GS lekapothe 3G

what I did in past is... download the apps onto computer first.. drop into itunes apps section. Then sync with iPhone. I dont know installous tho dl chesina apps itunes on PC loki velthayo ledo ( like purchased apps on appstore syncs with PC copies new apps into apps section of itunes )
