My take on Kuberaa - it is a profound story not a crime-thriller like most expected.

I liked the premise of the movie from the trailer. Went in with decent hopes despite the negative reviews about second half.

I like the movie overall but I understand why people don't like second half. Without going into the story, the message that Shekar Kammula is trying to give is profound. The movie is not a crime-thriller or good-vs-evil, very different from what most commercial directors go for, that is why it will take a while to understand the message. Since most people who watch the movie are middle class, it may not be well received.

For reference, I didn't care for Leader movie when I first watched it. It took a while to actually understand the essence of Leader. Kuberaa is similar. The philosophical message is layered and if you understand it, you won't think the second half is dragged.

It so happened that I saw this horrific incident before going to the movie and I could connect with the subtle message.

Anna, what do we need to learn from the movie ?

Take Andhra...  current govt increased ticket prices by 75Rs which means TDP+Janasena govt are kuberaa and middle class janal in Andhra Pradesh are bikaraa

I too really liked the trailer and even the first half of the movie too.

But You can't pass up Poor writing as misunderstanding or lack of intelligence on part of Audience.

Forget about the message, its about the movie , mainly the second half, itself being incoherent many times.

I felt it was a wasted chance.

*SPOILER ALERT మొదలు*

Nagarjuna's character arc was poorly written in the second Half.

When he says he rescued someone crucial we have to believe it however impossible it is..

The rescue itself was however useless as  she gets killed later, because a smart CBI person like him forgets to switch off his phone revealing his whereabouts and endangering everyone.

And many more ..

How can Kubera be inheritor of 10,000 crores , when his father intended the money for something more noble as was repeated multiple times in the movie.

*SPOILER ALERT అంతం*

I felt the movie is not about good vs evil or expecting a happy ending...like in the end the minister still wanted to take part in corruption and sell oil. It will continue like that, no single beggar will change the fate of the country. It is not realistic.

What I really got from the movie is how we will view someone when they are rich and when they are poor....the message is woven through the movie. For example even municipality workers won't want to touch beggar body but they give water and wake up dhanush because he is in suit. The inner message is woven through the story. The point of the film is last rites of beggar and billionaire, after burning they are the same. I think the thriller movie is cover up of the more subtle message throughout. Like he asks what day it is and prays for that God. Don't expect that one beggar or one CBI officer can change the future of the country. In the end they didn't give proofs to media because anyway he would have come out of the scam. But dying in a heap of trash is the poetic justice.

I am more of a capitalist and I never like giving money to beggars because I think it will make people lazy. Beggars smell like urine and look like sshit. I never want to touch them. What I learned from the movie is in the end my body and beggar's body will have the same fate.

What really matters is how you lived and memories (or lack of) you left behind for near and dear.

They will have the same fate too ... And what will you do with memories?

That’s what differentiates us from Robots.
It’s a conscious choice you make how you want to live, your standards, and impression you want to leave behind. Of course, memories are immaterial after you die.

The truth of a person is their behavior when no one is watching. But it doesn’t matter except for oneself.

Ultimately everyone dies and nothing matters. So make your choices 😂😂😂
