Hi frnds

recently I got a full time offer with end client and have been working past 2 months; in the resume I had mentioned client names instead of my employer ; he is asking w2 from those clients; I can respond saying I worked as contractor and share w2

And issue here is I was not working past 15 months , I am on GC,but client asking w2 as mentioned working in 2024 in resume.

i have genuine experience of 17 , 11 in USA and 6 in India; I got complete documents till 2023, I took break for personal reasons in 2024.

How to handle this situation , can you please guide me

Bro, simplest way is to say it was a typo on the resume — you meant up to 2023, but by mistake mentioned 2024.
Then explain that you took some personal time off (family / health reasons), so no W2 for that gap.

Also prepare:
 All W2s & paystubs till 2023,
Any project documentation / emails (if you did small consulting remotely in 2024),
And a calm, consistent story if they ask.

Most clients care more about current capability than past gaps, especially since you already started and are doing well for 2 months. Just don’t try to produce fake W2s or fake experience letters — it’s not worth it.

If they push too hard, tell them your lawyer/accountant can clarify. It usually dies down if you are already on the job & performing well.

All the best, you’ll handle it 👍
