Chala mandhi swimming rakunda deep natural water bodies lo dare chesesthunaru. It's not the same as floating in a 4-6 ft pool.

om shanti, If he is still a student won't university health insurance cover repatriation? 

looks like sudden rush of water, even if one knows swimming it won't help in those cases as you could be swept away

What % of kids in India know swimming? Growing up in Hyd there were no proper swimming pools/instructors to learn. Comparing to what my kids are learning in swimming in US, half of my time was cricket while growing up and then coaching for IIT/EAMCET and other BS things which dont matter in life.

even if you learn to swim, that is in a pool.. where the temperature if controlled and you have lights below.. open water bodies are a different league.. I love how people prepare kids for survival in this country.. I hope Indian education changes its approach.. but that is a lost country.. hope waste le..
