A tragic road accident in the U.S. has claimed the lives of a family from Hyderabad. Tejaswini and Sri Venkat residents of Suchitra, along with their two children were returning to Dallas from Atlanta after visiting relatives when their car was hit by a mini truck coming from the wrong direction in Greene County.

TRAFFIC: From ALEA A two vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 10:17 p.m. Saturday, July 5, and has caused a road closure. All southbound lanes of Interstate 59, approximately at the 40 mile-marker in Greene County is now blocked and will be closed for an undetermined amount of time while wrecker crews conduct recovery of the commercia vehicle.

Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division are on scene investigating and will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates accordingly.

This is southwest of Eutaw.

I called at 9:44 that night after it almost hit me. I ran off the road last minute. I looked behind me and it was still going. It was the scariest thing I’ve ever seen. 911 said they were already aware

We called this in at 9:46pm the fact that that law enforcement or anyone couldn’t stop this until 10:17 is outrageous! I feel bad for the family/person that was killed bc someone was driving recklessly!

Kristen Howell Wow me too. I called at 9:44 after it ran me off the road. I was in the left lane and a car was in the right lane and it was about to hit me head on. I swerved last second and couldn’t believe my eyes. Genuinely the scariest thing I’ve ever seen. I have been searching everywhere to find out about this and just found this post. So extremely sad
