Spartan Posted July 8 Report Posted July 8 11 minutes ago, rational said: Single line doesnt help. please eloborate. Vayu Purana says about this topic- Jambu Dweep means an Island of Jambu trees (fruit or Java Plum). The fruit is called as Naval Pazlam in Tamil and nerale hannu in Kannada. In Ancient times this Globe was partioned into Saptha Dweepa (7 islands) namely. Jambu ( Java Plum) (Asia, Eurasia) Plaksha ( Ficus religiosa or sacred fig ) (South America ) Saalmalli ( Bombax ceiba, cotton tree) ( Australia ) Kusha ( Grass) (oceania) Krouncha ( Africa) Saaka ( Europe, Atlantis) Pushkara ( North America, Canada) In these Dvipas, Jambu Dveep had a importance as many of the important events like Ramayana, Mahabharat has taken place here. It is believed that there was a Humongous Jambu tree near Meru Parvat, the tree was so huge, so that if a Jambu fruit drops from that tree. the juice of that fruit will flow like a river. As this Jambu tree was the landmark of this Island, it was called as Jambu dveepa. Jambu dvipa is further classified into Nava Varsha: Bharat Kshetra ( Present India lies here) Mahavideha Kshetra Airavat Kshetra Ramyakwas Kshetra Hariwat Kshetra Hairanyvat Kshetra Haimavat Kshetra Devkuru Kshetra Uttarkuru Kshetra Quote

Oceania is a region encompassing thousands of islands in the Pacific Ocean, generally divided into four subregions: Melanesia, Micronesia, Polynesia, and Australia and New Zealand. It includes 14 sovereign nations. These are: Australia, Micronesia, Fiji, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Nauru, New Zealand, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu. Saalmalli ( Bombax ceiba, cotton tree) ( Australia ) How does that make sense ? And Atlantis? It was proposed by plato (subject to correction). there was enough research done to find the location but ended up empty. If you read vaayu purana you will find out that 7 dwipas are surrounded by 7 oceans. The Seven Oceans: Each ocean encircles a corresponding dvipa. These are not traditional oceans but are described as being filled with different substances. Salt water (Lavana Samudra): Surrounds the outermost dvipa, Pushkara. Sugarcane juice (Ikshu Samudra): Surrounds the second outermost dvipa. Wine (Sura or Sura Samudra): Surrounds the third outermost dvipa. Ghee (Sarpis or Ghrita Samudra): Surrounds the fourth outermost dvipa. Curds (Dadhi Samudra): Surrounds the fifth outermost dvipa. Milk (Ksheera Samudra): Surrounds the sixth outermost dvipa. Sweet water (Svādūdaka Samudra): Surrounds the innermost dvipa, Jambu. Lets just considered all the seas represent just water If you see the map above does it look like each and every continent is surrounded by ocean? This same type jambudwepa mythical story is not only exists in hinduism, but also jainism and buddhism with different versions. Buddhist version has 4 main dvipas Jambudvipa, Purvavideha, Aparagodaniya, Uttarakuru. Doesnt it prove this is a just a mythical story nothing to do with the actual earth continents and if you notice, Antartica continent is missing according to your post. Some other site gives different version of the Map like this Quote
