Legacy apps are where they are going to be very useful, if they are trained well.. companies have to use lot of resources to manage the legacy apps..

I am sure ppl are already working on some custom mcp’s for this.. that migrate legacy code to new age architecture

Also learnt AI can be lazy (wants to get to decision tree quickly. Your questions should be straight forward), acts like a child (you have to instruct clearly). 
But it’s amazing how far it has come. We did customer segmentation and hot 98% accuracy within 2 months.

the best is to be part of it than resist it.

Get into those areas. Identify issues or use cases in your area. Pitch it to mgt and get exposure in that area. 
Learn buzz words and terminology. You can survive easily

You can easily have a process mining tool like celonis to identify gaps in your work flows or business process and plugin AI to automate those tasks. Imagine the hours it saves now done by L2 teams.

Most importantly you will be putting together end to end solutions. Like I have been saying for long SMEs who are smart and can adopt AI will rule next decade. Business process knowledge is divine now.

There will be models that hear you out and generate good prompts.. AI talking to AI.. that is already here..
