More than govts i blame the people, who doesnt follow basic rules on how to dump the waste. The same problem of  waste clogging happens every year. u will be amazed that carpets, mattresses, wood, tv, a/c etc  everything is thrown into the drainage. There is a limit on what a govt can do without the public participation.

I was talking about over all drainage system. Coming to they flyover  when cloud burst happens these type of flooding happens, usually flyover drainage systems are designed to be small so it takes time clear the water, added to that when low level drainage system is not cleared then water doesn't have any where to go so it gets flooded until the cloud burst clears. same thing happened in mumbai last year

90% people but rainy season lo aa clogs and other maintenance govt responsibility kada.. not congress any govt should take preventive maintenance expecially in big cities..

The waste keeps piling in all seasons, finally its effect shows in the rainy season. The solution is in the grass roots, there are protocols how to throw ur waste if people followed that  govt efforts will be easy to remove the clogging.  i dont expect 100% people change atleast 60%-70% follow the protocols, u will see a huge difference. Just use google map and find any street in India, go to street view and look for the waste if you will amazed that almost 80-90% of the streets or empty sites do have some kind of waste lying.
