Ireland and US got independence after wars.. but they are all people who were self sufficient, have experience fighting wars for generations for the British at upper levels, managed their land semi autonomously and have lot of resources to fight a war.. Indians were fighting at the very lowest level for the British.. 

Even Bose didn’t have the resources to fight a war when they planned to occupy east India.. they did march through some regions in the east.. but were later captured by the British and many were killed or court martialed by the British after world war 2..
