2025 సెప్టెంబర్ 2 నుండి, స్టేట్ డిపార్ట్‌మెంట్ (Department of State) నాన్‌ఇమ్మిగ్రెంట్ వీసా ఇంటర్వ్యూకు మినహాయింపు పొందే అర్హులైన అభ్యర్థుల వర్గాలను నవీకరిస్తోంది. 14 సంవత్సరాల లోపు మరియు 79 సంవత్సరాల పైబడిన అభ్యర్థులు సహా అన్ని నాన్‌ఇమ్మిగ్రెంట్ వీసా అభ్యర్థులు సాధారణంగా దౌత్యాధికారి (consular officer) తో ప్రత్యక్ష ఇంటర్వ్యూకు హాజరయ్యే అవసరం ఉంటుంది, అయితే ఈ క్రింది అభ్యర్థులు మినహాయించబడతారు:

1. A-1, A-2, C-3 (అధికారికుల వ్యక్తిగత సహాయకులు, సేవకులు మినహాయించి), G-1, G-2, G-3, G-4, NATO-1 నుండి NATO-6 వరకు లేదా TECRO E-1 వీసాల కింద వర్గీకరించబడిన అభ్యర్థులు;

2. దౌత్య లేదా అధికారిక రకమైన వీసాల కోసం దరఖాస్తు చేసే అభ్యర్థులు;

3. పూర్తిస్థాయి B-1, B-2, B1/B2 వీసా లేదా మెక్సికన్ పౌరుల కోసం బోర్డర్ క్రాసింగ్ కార్డు/ఫాయిల్ (BCC/Foil)ని పూర్వపు వీసా గడువు ముగిసిన 12 నెలల లోపు పునరుద్ధరించుకునే అభ్యర్థులు, మరియు పూర్వపు వీసా జారీ సమయంలో కనీసం 18 సంవత్సరాల వయస్సు కలిగి ఉండాలి.

పై మూడవ పాయింటు (పునరుద్ధరణ వీసా అభ్యర్థులు) ప్రకారం ఇంటర్వ్యూ మినహాయింపు అర్హత పొందేందుకు, అభ్యర్థులు ఈ క్రింది అర్హతలు కూడా కలిగి ఉండాలి:

• వారు తమ పౌరసత్వ దేశం లేదా నివాస దేశంలోనే దరఖాస్తు చేయాలి;

• వారికి గతంలో వీసా తిరస్కరించబడకూడదు (తిరస్కరణ జరిగితే అది పరిష్కరించబడినది కావాలి);

• వారికి ఏదైనా స్పష్టమైన లేదా సంభావ్య అర్హత లేమి (ineligibility) ఉండకూడదు.

దౌత్యాధికారులు ఏదైనా ప్రత్యేక కారణం కోసం ఇంటర్వ్యూకు పిలవవచ్చు – ఇది వారి వైఖరి ఆధారంగా ఉంటుంది. అభ్యర్థులు తమ వీసా దరఖాస్తు విధానం, అవసరాల గురించి మరింత సమాచారం కోసం సంబంధిత ఎంబసీ లేదా కాన్సులేట్ వెబ్‌సైట్లు పరిశీలించాలి, అలాగే అవి ఎలా పనిచేస్తున్నాయో తెలుసుకోవాలి.

ఈ ప్రకటన 2025 ఫిబ్రవరి 18 న విడుదల చేసిన ఇంటర్వ్యూ మినహాయింపు నవీకరణను భర్తీ చేస్తుంది.
