PHEV range ki level-2 tho peddaga vachedi emi ledu bedaru…there isn't anything that you gonna save signifycantly unless you drive less than 40-50 mile/day.

Level-1 overnight will help you cover this part without spending a penny, just that it will take about 10 hours for full charge.

If you still want to install a level-2 charger, you really need to call an electrician.

Before checks, see if there is already an 220v outlet. Mostly, you will have this installed for gas/electric dryers. If this is already in place, then they just need to extend this line to the garage and provide a plug point. This may cost you about $500-$1000.

Second charge, buying a level 2 charger. This will cost you about $300-$500.

Level 1 on 120v takes 24-  40 hrs for full charging.

I bought ChargePoint Flex Level 2 charger for my PHEV. 550$ . There are good options ranging between 300- 600 in Amazon. Not installed yet due to India travel . This can be used up to 60 amp.
My car charging capacity is set to Max 40amp. I’m getting 60A breaker switch.

Unless you are traveling only 10 miles per day, you really need a level 2 charger. There are many charger options. What brand car is it? Tesla charge ports are North American standard so you can always get a Tesla charger if you want. Installation charge depends on how far your breaker box is and if there is space in there. It’s ideal to have a 60A breaker in it. But that depends on type of charger.
