USA urged us not to buy Russia oil between 2021-2024. We didn’t listen to them. Not just USA, the whole NATO told us repeatedly. Our laser eyed Jay Sankar gave obnoxious retorts.

Now they are punishing us with tariffs and sanctions.

 

What is wrong with this equation? Isn’t that basic anywhere. Not vehemently supporting USA here. But I do see their logic.

Correct aee....Europe is also buying gas from Russia kada...how come thy want to punish India alone? Thatha 2nd term lo modi tho chedindi. anduke idantha...siding with pakis etc is a typical dem strategy....not sure why thatha is bringing that old tactic back.

They started attacking India even before that. If you remember Khalistan issue. Even under Biden admin our PM Modi is portrayed as human rights violator when it comes to mullah. This is not about T thatha alone. It is a foreign policy issue. Modi was constantly disrespected from day 1. He was shameless to invite himself to WH.
 

In summary, They decided to break Indias back economically and politically. Vomericaaa loves mullahs over Hindus. They will orchestrate unrest if needed. They will suceeed to some extent. But they won’t be able to suppress us completely.

IMO -We can’t compare these two scenarios. Europe forced to buy from Russia since it had limited options. There were not enough transportation or storage facilities and also not enough production to full fill what Russia would supply to Europe.  But oil is different story, many alternatives in the market.

nothing wrong bro...both countries are looking after their own interests....thats how this game of geopolitics has always been played. Sometimes we win, sometimes we back track strategically.

What shankar said is correct. We are not same as western countries and afford expensive oil. We want cheap oil.

Its simple they cannot dictate terms and we cannot do it either. We are lot more vulnerable. but thats how world is.

Doesnt matter bro. EU has no moral high ground to call us alone for trading with russia. They should stop and then point at us. However, in reality thy agreed to buy US natural gas at record high price and the US is very happy about it, so all this drama.

Yeah agreed. India should go back and reassess their long term goals. Blaming and barking at US will only make things easy for pakis.
