Their friendship gone down for a fact , bcoz when Modi visited USA during last days of biden admin and when kamala is presidential candidate 

Trump expected modi to come visit him and endorse him

As per my understanding ,That's not what happend , trump didn't  talked to india about indo pak war

JD vance and secretary rubio was communicating with pm & jai shankar

Trump was expecting Russia-ukraine cease fire announcement that same day ,but didn't materialized 

So he claimed ind - pak cease fire as his peace deal 

Modi specifically said to vance if pakistan is planning for bigger attack we will retialiate ani...he said the same in parliament, then pakis obviously understood the situation and their DGMO called india to stop it..
