Banglore and pune were not even top 10 cities before IT ,if anything they were the ones completely transformed by IT.

Hyderabad was already a massive city before IT revolution .

Bangalore has always been and still now a bigger city than Hyd with or without IT.

banglore was never as big as hyd before IT ,hyderabad was a mega city on the same level as Mumbai Kolkata Chennai.

Hyderabad is the 4th biggest city in India  pre partion including pakistani cities like lahore ,karachi.

Banglore ,pune aren't even top 15.

Banglore and pune are the only cities which weren't tier -1  and were proposed up due to IT.

How can you even compared blr to hyd lol hyd was the capital for 300 years and was a major hub for trade while banglore was a cantonment for Britishers and build infra to support them.till independence mysore was the capital of mysore state.

mare delhi?

its not just about the major 4 metros. in 90s hyd was also somewhat competing with ahmedabad, pune, lucknow, cochin, bhopal etc for a few industries etc.

Blore was always called sillicon city of india (known for its electronics) not so much IT, so it had its roadmap set long time ago. Those days everything was seen post-event like on page 3, cable tv....intha digital transofrmation of news etc avale, and social media was non existent, so comparison between Blore and Hyd was not possible at a detailed level, sq kms wise also blore was still bigger than hyd.

Despite all this hyd was developed with a vision

Delhi was same level as hyd but population wise hyd was slightly bigger.

Hyd wasnt competing with lucknow and bhopal lol hyd was much bigger ,ahmedabad had a different industry ,pune grew the same as hyd after 1990's infact even more because pune was a much smaller city then , hyderabad already had a lot of institutes like midhani ,idpl ,hul etc.. same as pune and banglore plus geographical advantage just like Pune and banglore.

Vision could be attributed to Rajiv Gandhi's and sam pitroda for IT. But it just has to do with the IT boom than any one's vision.

Pune IT scene grew much more than hyd or banglore past 1990 because of low base already.

Banglore was only bigger than hyd in area because secunderabad wasn't counted under mch.even then hyd had much higher population.

Only in IT , overall hyd was bigger.blr only crossed hyd population very recently like 15 years ago.

Hyd,blr and pune had similar favourable geographic conditions plus earlier institutes established by centre government to create a background for IT scene like drdo ,c-dac ecil etc..

Even the bulk manufacturing  Pharma scene in hyd is largely due to IDPL.
