Being “used”

Featured Replies

Step1: One person with power hungry mindset projects himself as a leader. He/she ensures that we are emotionally captured into that agenda. Most of the time those emotions are either “hate” or “victim” mindset.

Step2:  Upon being “emotionally captured”, the legion of followers hate the rival team with passion. Followers do everything in their power to win over the rival team. Some of them ruin their lives by doing stupid things.

Step3: In the end, our own leader enjoys power and wealth. He/she will definitely fall short of our expectations. There is no doubt.
Because leader always has his/her own agenda.

When people criticize him/her for shortcomings, we still take the brunt of the heat by defending that beloved leader. Because we don’t want to admit that our initial assessment was a bit wrong. Things get personal.

it’s too much service for little or no benefit. The amount of time and emotions invested in this game is crazy!!!! Rationally cant justify this ever.

This is not just specific to Indians. I know many Americans are boxed into this “liberal”and “conservative” tags too.

It is very deeply entrenched in our veins. I guess there is no exit for this slavery. We still have tribe mindset.

Kudos to all leaders who enjoy power and wealth. Some of them are enjoying for multiple generations. They utilize this innate human weakness to their benefit.

Absolutely true!!!

Just because you like someone, if you defend their wrongdoing, its not harm to them, instead you are harming yourself. It applies to every minute things in our day to day lives.

“Emotional capture”

We go through this at home too. Let’s say When our wife hates our neighbor. We hate our neighbour too.

Without even caring for the details. It’s almost like a reflex reaction. It’s human. It is sad state of affairs.

I have seen this, i have learned from it, when you blindly accept like that without getting core details, you are in trouble for sure.

but i have built this in me, listen to them first without judging, later i understand the reality and try to explain. ofcourse, most of the time they dont understand haha. Its okay that's how we accept our loved ones.

Yeah. In this era of social engineering, it is very imperative for us to look at things very holistically.

Don’t fall prey to manipulation techniques.
