We send to best brains for math, their material is good. each concept is explored with different strategies to solve and real life examples are given and has word problems to test their grasp on concept. My kid likes it. Kumon I heard is repetitive.

It's a good business idea too if GC holders want to explore.

I would say its below average, Just because Desi is running it will not make it any great baa.
We canceled ours, and the material is of below-average quality. Students lik eit because its minimal and easy to work with

Schools have started and parents again rushed to get their kids enrolled into these old Narayana/Sree Chaitanya style coaching centers.

Its better to look for alternatives.

If you are already sending your kids....sit with them and ask them what and how they teach the concepts. Its pure rote learning.....antha batti puranam.

batti kottadam is the best

we all are living examples of it

you are earning high

if you didnt batti then you would be doing film acting singing reels etc.. in hyd

choose what you want

Best idea is to send your kids to eligible Telugu grads who can teach part time , since new grads are struggling to land jobs . It’s like helping the community. Dont encourage free Chaitanya /parayana style of education 🙏🙏please

Maybe you did. And that's why this nonsense seems ok for you.

I did not and it served me well.

I tried to get best brains franchise long time ago.  I think it's owned by family of a guy who is a movie producer now. I attended their info session. Next a girl called and started asking questions which kinda irritated me.  After that I lost interest and also they were giving me a territory I was not keen on

I would suggest kumon. It’s a system and all about discipline to work daily and get basics right and become fast.

It might feel like BATTI but it’s necessary to get basics right. I see middle school kids still struggling for additions and subtractions.

Other institutions which teach - only 1 person is good and they hire mediocre ppl who are not that good. My kid was doing math wrong and I taught them right way, she kept going back to wrong way. I saw her book and the instructor wrote wrong and taught her wrong. It took a lot of time to correct it. Owner is a desi and she is good. She said she removed that instructor. But the fact is she is depending on someone else and She is busy setting up 2nd location. I enrolled because of her.

Trust me on this - Enroll in Kumon and that’s enough. You will thank me later down the road.

Ok, 👍 My kid is in Montessori school , they asked me to not teach anything outside of school. Initially I was like “really”? But she improved like crazy in 6 months , she is showing practically what she learnt at school . They never teach math on paper always practical. It’s working wonder for my kid🤗

Montessori education generally discourages parents from directly teaching math at home in the same way it's taught in the classroom because the approach emphasizes a child's natural development of mathematical thinking through hands-on, self-directed activities in a prepared environment. Instead of formal instruction, Montessori focuses on building a "mathematical mind" through sensorial experiences and indirect preparation, allowing children to internalize concepts at their own pace

Enroll wherever critical thinking is given importance. You don't want your kids to practice being handicapped.

You are comparing Kumon with not sending them to a proper place.

Kumon and Best Brains kids might lead to good grades.....but will be intellectually handicapped. How much did our grades help in life?

The way they teach basics is horrible. Even the good teachers over there teach badly. Because the culture is such.

Teaching sucks in US. Esp in higher grades.

I believe in a system and esp in Math, your basics need to be right.

The problem with good teachers is, they start an institute, flourish, and then become commercial. They are busy opening more locations and delegating to mediocre ppl.

I tried in 2 different institutes, both same results.

Below average compared to what? Its not minimal, based on kids capacity they move up to higher level or continue at same level.

As usual....you need to go a level deeper.

Basics doesn't mean practice.

If you ask me, being able to do Math is not at all important. You have calculator and AI.

But learning Math gives you a good opportunity to develop aptitude and critical thinking. This helps in making better decisions when they grow up.

The Batti route kills it.

There's no batti in math, how do you do it?
