It’s going to be okay. Only very few people are getting NTA. You might not be that one. 

Just focus on kid for now.

Don’t worry about NTA anna, you won’t get it. Ask employer when is he going to report to uscis and plan accordingly 

focus on new job and kid. You can also try applying b2 visa to extend the job search.

When there’s a panic by news media everyone gets panic. So one should standup to explain there’s no panic is needed. So here it is. 

Still all these options are available even you get NTA-Notice to appear or Notice of terminating action. All you need to do is aware of options.
NTA first done by Francis Cisna during Trump 1.0.

Yes H-1Bs can stay within the USA legally even after 60 days grace period during job loss.

After 60 days grace period Options are 

1) applying change of status to B1/B2 on your own without your employer help/permission and upgrade skills to get job and change to H-1B from B1/B2 whenever new job comes

2) apply for compelling reasons EAD whenever 140 is there

Don’t get stress. Just explore options!!

Chill, mama....we are now transitioning from the phase "job is everything' to 'job is not everything'..... A friend of mine recently lost his job and has two toddlers and a wife as dependents.

He was struggling to pay rent, taxes, and daycare expenses. Instead of managing these bills, he chose to send his wife and kids to India. He moved into shared accommodation and focused on his job hunt in India and US, but he was unable to find a job within 60 days. Eventually, he secured a position in India and is now working in Hyderabad. He plans to return when circumstances improve.

Atleast he has an option to go back to low cost of living place.What about locals with families in US who lost job job and not able to find job?Better he plans not to come back
