The press conference by the election commission of India was a nothingburger. They failed to clear the mistrust and suspicions in the ECI's conduct in the 2024 Lok Sabha and the Bihar SIR.

# Several journalists asked tough questions to the ECI, some were answered without clarity, most were ignored.

Sharing some of the questions that were asked which were either ignored or the answers were dis-satisfactory. The questions are paraphrased.

1. Many issues regarding voter roll discrepencies are coming from different states, will you act against all of them?
2. In Bihar SIR, how many Nepali, Bangladeshi nationals were found?
3. Why are you asking for Oath only from Rahul Gandhi and not other parties who raised the voter roll discrepancies?
4. Intially the Bihar SIR Draft Roll was uploaded in machine readable and searchable format, after Rahul Gandhi's press conference, they were replaced with low quality images which are not searchable or machine readable, what do you have to say about that?
5. Central Bengaluru issues were raised by Rahul Gandhi, Anurag Thakur raised it for several other constituencies, when 2 major parties of the country are raising these questions, are you going to investigate it?
6. For the first time in history, there was an addition of 40 lakh new voters in Maharashtra, the number of voters are more than the total population above 18 years of age in Maharashtra. There was an increase in voters after 5 pm. Why is the CM of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis answering these questions instead of the ECI?
7. Out of the 7.24 crore electors forms that were received, how many of them submitted the documents? What is the basis of recommended/non-recommended by the BLO if the documents haven't been submitted?
8. In Bihar SIR, how many new people were added to the electoral roll thorugh Form 6?
9. Akhilesh Kumar had submitted affidavit for 18k names, why was no action taken on it?
10. In Orissa, BJD had submitted affidavit against voter roll discrepency in 2024, why was no action taken on it until now?
11. What are you doing for the people who aren't able to produce the documents in Bihar SIR within the next 15 days?
12. In 2004, the EC order states that intensive revision be postponed in Arunanchal and Maharashtra because assembly polls are due, why was that principle set aside for Bihar in 2025?
13. If Rahul Gandhi doesn't submit the oath within 7 days, will the ECI confirm that their voter rolls are accurate?

The CEC also lied about SIR, he said SIR was also done in 2003, but the fact is, the 2003 revision was an "Intensive Revision", not a "Special Intensive Revision".
