What about EAD + AP. AP is valid till 2029. I recently visited India and came back. I checked my i94 and the admit untill date says july 2026.

I guess they are reiterating this rule because F1 visas have D/S instead of expiration date on I-94. But they are soon getting rid off D/S for F1 visas too, and instead will allot a new expiration date on I-94.
