Benefits of cheaper crude was never meant to benefit common man….its a commercial deal to fund russian economy. It was business as usual for India.

Are you seriously asking this question? Why it has to be private in the first place? Why can’t state sponsored refineries utilize this Russian crude. 
 

If you are still hell bent on private refineries, simple Google search showed me 5 more. However reliance is the largest. Because for obvious reasons. He is the richest Indian. That’s no brainer.

True....HPCL and BPCL em peeking. Kavalani vatiki limited capacities vuntai. Kakinada/Vizag lo HPCL biggest refinery annaru, no movement so far. I'm sure gumbani gadi lobbying vuntadi.

The scheme itself is all about re-routing the crude supplies and flouting sanctions, Do you expect state run refiners to participate in this scheme ? State run OMC’s serve a purpose and this is not part of the game neither in national interest. 

It is a myth that Russian crude is of strategic national importance for India but the fact is that we are helping our partner to keep up with its finances. 

This is a whole new game which was never played before and the primary player is Nayara and Reliance. There are the only two refiners in India which have the capacity and links to refine and re-sell refined products in international market. Why do you want OMC’s to take part in this game ?

State run OMC’s are doing their job as usual and clean of sanctions in the past and the same will continue in the future. The moment Reliance is sanctioned, Ambani can lobby to lift and it makes no effect to Nayara as it is owned by Russia.

Now, you tell me why do you think OMC’s should be part of this game ?

Back in the day it was KG basin. Now it’s Russian crude. He thrives on exploitation of natural resources
