The scheme itself is all about re-routing the crude supplies and flouting sanctions, Do you expect state run refiners to participate in this scheme ? State run OMC’s serve a purpose and this is not part of the game neither in national interest.

It is a myth that Russian crude is of strategic national importance for India but the fact is that we are helping our partner to keep up with its finances.

This is a whole new game which was never played before and the primary player is Nayara and Reliance. There are the only two refiners in India which have the capacity and links to refine and re-sell refined products in international market. Why do you want OMC’s to take part in this game ?

State run OMC’s are doing their job as usual and clean of sanctions in the past and the same will continue in the future. The moment Reliance is sanctioned, Ambani can lobby to lift and it makes no effect to Nayara as it is owned by Russia.

Now, you tell me why do you think OMC’s should be part of this game ?

We neither need taxes from Ambani. Nor we need tarrifs from USA. There is no point in attracting all this wrath  especially if this Russian originated imports are not gonna reduce our oil price locally.

Nah I’m not falling for taxes bullcrap from Ambani. He might use loop holes and I don’t think his refineries pay the due share.

There is something called as allies and reliable partners. India buys oils for its needs in international market, it’s not for another country to decide what and where we need to spend/buy. Last time I checked, India is a sovereign nation and decisions we take are in our interest but not under pressure by another country.

Why tariff’s when they can sanction ? Its a way to control the world order and India is acting tough on this order and you have a problem.

Glad you made these statements above. On that same note can you explain how one phone call from Vance was enough to convince us for a ceasefire? What happened to our sovereignty at that point. Did that decision was made in our best interest or due to pressure?

It sounds like we are orchestrating Indian pride when it caters to the needs of few individuals. I think it’s not gonna fly anymore.

Gali Janardhan Reddy should have used the same logic about taxes and employment. He paid taxes on his barytes exports and he generated employment in rural Bellary. That’s not a way to logical way to justify anything.

That’s not the way things work. I will not retort to your statement about using brain. I will let it slide.

First thing, the skirmish between India and Pakistan was not expected to last for weeks or months. In fact, it went for a week and that itself was a huge.

As far as I remember, PMO has clarified that it was DGMO's of Pakistan reached out for a ceasefire. This was confirmed by Indian army and defense services as well as MEA.

I do not recollect MEA mentioning Vance's call. When did that happen?

Gaali's mining was illegal and he mined in the areas which was not allotted and this was the main charge.

Back in the day it was KG basin. Now it’s Russian crude. He thrives on exploitation of natural resources

Even today, KG basin does not contribute significant production. Compared to Assam and Bombay High, gas produced from KG basin is very minimal and another decade away from full-scale production. I wonder how we can satisfy the energy needs without exploiting natural resources.

Legality is subjective.

Putin is waging this war on Ukraine for mere dominion. He started this war just to annex some land.

India should either stay neutral or oppose it. If we want to honor our old releationship then stay out of it.

For some reason all these natural resources goes into the control of Mukesh Ambani.

The richest and most powerful person, yeah. Like it happens elsewhere...

I have never seen a middle-class family owning and operating a gas field...

Yeah, we did stay out of the war and clarified that many times on international media.

Russia waging war with Ukraine, and Europe still buys oil from Russia. Ukraine itself bought gas from Russia while waging war on one front.

India's interests are commercial...we just created a new commodity for export, something which we never did in the past and people have a problem with it.
