This link says otherwise, albeit 1951 consensus, the first one done post independence.

by 1951 it's the capital of independent India and a lot of people moved there.

I stay corrected. Kolkata had more than IBM. But my point remains. Hyderabad is what it is today, because of the foundation laid by CBN.

My point also remains same: Delhi NCR, Pune, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai & Bangalore remained the same but who laid the foundation?

If there is no IT revolution,at all, in Hyderabad, what are all the software companies doing there

The same thing they are doing in Chennai, Pune, Bangalore, Delhi NCR, Kolkata and 20 other Tier1 and Tier 2 cities.

The same thing they are doing in every other city in the entire world.

The foundation was laid by Rajiv Gandhi and people like BN Yugandhar and Vittal.

So, if it is foundation, you should credit congress and the growth was also during congress regime and subsequent TRS regime. What should you credit CBN for is coming 4th in a race of 4.

Then why did places like Bhopal and Bhuvaneswar fall behind. Say what you want, the foundation was laid by CBN. It is not just organic that companies picked hyderabad over many other options. As far as the cities you mentioned go, yes, the credit goes to the state leadership who laid those foundations.

Interesting, then why did the net exports of IT services is almost negligible up until early 2000s. But you are right. The basic idea is from congress, without which nothing would have been possible. I am saying the credit for AP "coming 4th in a race of 4", while STPI is established in every capital, goes to CBN.
