Always go with hardwired. To many additional requirements if you go plug point per national electric code irrespective costs. In both cases you need new circuit for 240V level-2 charger.

In addition to above you get more amps if you hardwire new circuit that means more miles in less time.

Howmuch is the car cost? You can install the 240v plug yourself, its easy

Don't ever do this unless you are certified electrician.
