I have heard stories in India they spread it in their lands, agriculture lands for more prosperity.

That's true.. but don't call it tradition when it started in 2000s  and when people are using it as a platform to flaunt wealth.. it is a superstition.. laddy tho start ayyindi, poola maalaki, kireetaniki, vastralaki vellindi.. inka next devudini vestaru.. vigraham ni koni naa bhoomi meeda padeste luck ani..
