Difference is china cooperating with US in trade negotiations to completely removing us products ban where as india is not doing it. US trade team already tired of india.. india is biggest buyer from russia. india even stopped buying it from middle east and went buying more and more oil from russia. 1 Quote

But US and EU comment about one or more of the following : Human Rights/Religious Freedom/Discrimination against minorities/Corruption/Freedom of Press etc which India considers intrusion into its internal affairs. Hence our political leaders in power usually prefer aligning with Russia and China They only remember Western countries when they are in opposition and are at the receiving end of injustice from the ruling party. I am not saying US and EU are perfect but in general they have lesser corruption and better rights when it comes to freedom of speech/press/religion etc Quote
