Democrats on the House Oversight Committee released an image of the sexually suggestive note and drawingapparently bearing the signature of Donald J. Trump, taken from a 2003 book celebrating the 50th birthday of the disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein. Mr. Trump has insisted he never wrote such a note and the White House claimed it wasn’t his signature, though it resembles those from that era. Lawyers for Mr. Epstein’s estate provided a copy of the book to the committee in response to a subpoena.
